Situated in Zambia’s Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, just a short distance from the famous Victoria Falls, the environmentally-conscious design of Thorntree River Lodge is inspired by local customs and culture. The main lodge consists of a lounge with an open dining area and a vast deck at the river’s edge, which features a sunken boma for outdoor dining and a beautiful infinity pool. The floating wooden deck edges out into the river, blending the edges between land and water.
Eight tented rooms and two family units stretch out along the river’s banks, offering elegant interiors with indoor and outdoor bathrooms, as well as sparkling private plunge pools. Activities for guests include tours of Victoria Falls, game drives and rhino trekking in the National Park, visits to a nearby village, sunset river cruises, fishing and visits to the Livingstone Museum.
