Your Timeless Journey Awaits...

About Maldives

The country’s unique geography mesmerizes the visitor. Reefs that offer bands of colour, tiny jewel-like islands rimmed with the whitest of soft sand surrounded by the clearest shallow waters that one can imagine.

The beauty of the Maldives is not only above the water. The Maldives is home to about five percent of the planet’s reefs that comes with an explosion of colour contributed by soft and hard corals that form them. The reefs are home to a thousand species of fish. Lured by the rich nutrients that flow in with the currents, large pelagic fishes such as manta rays and whale sharks also make the Maldives their home.

  • Every resort in Maldives is its own private island.
  • Island hopping by public ferry, speedboat and domestic flights has opened up this incredible country to visitors.
  • With some of the best diving and snorkelling in the world, the clear waters of Maldives are a magnet for anyone with an interest in marine life.
  • Swim with Whale Sharks – one of the best places in the world to spot them year-round – especially if you make Alifu Dhaalu Atoll your base.
  • Try Maldivian cuisine.
  • See bioluminescence – Vaadhoo is commonly named as the place to witness this nocturnal phenomenon, which occurs when bioluminescent organisms in the water are disturbed, but the truth is it can happen all over the Maldivian archipelago.
  • Spot dolphins on a sunset cruise.

Best time to go to Maldives

  • Peak Season
  • Mid Season
  • Rainy Season

As a year-round destination, it’s almost always a good time to go to Maldives. However, if you want guaranteed sunshine, it’s best to aim for November and April. The climate is warm and tropical, with average highs at a consistent 29°C to 31°C year-round and average lows rarely falling below 24°C.
January to April are the driest months, with little rain and low humidity, making this peak season at the resorts, especially over Easter.

Temperatures are still warm from May to December, but rain is more likely and there is a risk of storms. However, even during this period there are usually long spells of bright sunshine. Attractive prices and offers mean this is still a common time to visit.
