Built entirely by hand in partnership with the local community, Azura is the area’s first luxury eco-boutique retreat. It has just 20 villas, each set just steps from the beach in a lush indigenous garden, and each with their own private plunge pool. En suite bathrooms with outdoor showers, luxurious beds, a beachside sala and sundeck complete each secluded suite, providing a haven of rest and relaxation where you can feel at one with the environment.
A dedicated Mozambican butler-host is assigned to each guest and will attend to their every need for the duration of their stay. A superb seafood menu celebrates the day’s catch and can be enjoyed in the main restaurant, on the beach or at a romantic picnic spot. Guests can also unwind with an indulgent spa treatment, grab a cocktail at the Star Bar and browse the Trading Store, selling handcrafted artefacts, designer clothing and jewellery. The mod cons are there too if you need them, with TV and internet discreetly tucked away in the library.
As with any good beachfront property in Mozambique, Azura offers a variety of water sports such as scuba diving, snorkelling, sailing, big game fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Island drives and cultural excursions can also be arranged.
