Iconic Moments in Southern Africa to Celebrate Life!

A warm welcome awaited the group, as they were escorted through customs and immigration and to their awaiting host for their stay in Cape Town. The celebrations started with a leisurely Jazzy brunch and then Cape Town was thoroughly explored on private excursions that included a City Foodie walking meeting-the-locals experience, taking the cable car up Table Mountain, seeing Nelson Mandela’s cell on Robben Island, visiting the Penguins at Boulders and sipping on some of the Cape’s finest wines. cycling along the vines and marveling at the spectacular settings.

On day five of their journey was met by their guide and enjoyed a private winelands tour during their transfer to Babylonstoren Farm. The wine tour was tailor-made according to their wine preferences and included some of the Cape’s finest wines and most spectacular estates. The guests could walk or jog up the Babylonstoren Koppie for fantastic views and a closer look at the indigenous fynbos vegetation, cycle through the vineyards, or paddle on the farm dam in a canoe. The group could end perfect days off with a sundowner at the picnic spot before visiting the Babel restaurant for a top-class meal, fresh from the garden. Day six was a day of leisure, allowing the group to further explore the fertile Franschhoek Wine Valley, or simply enjoy their accommodation further.

The group departed by flight to arguably the best wildlife reserve in South Africa – the Sabi Sands for incredible close encounters with wildlife such as lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, hippos and more. Safari drives, bush walks and stunning sunset drinks and a special Birthday surprise made for an memorable birthday in the bush.

Flying directly from the safari region in to Zambia, the group took to the skies as they flew over the Victoria Falls and along the Gorge to their lodge. Set on the banks of the Zambezi River, they were in the pefect postion to enjoy sunrise and sunset boat cruises, kayaking to a private island for a Birthday brunch, visiting the Victoria Falls and Island walks.

A sad farewell was said to new-made friends, as the trio returned to Johannesburg and departed home – with promises to return soon!
