Meaning “place of the giraffe”, Nxabega is situated on a 25,000-hectare private concession and combines the best of the Delta’s channels and waterways with the classic wildlife experiences of a land-based safari. Made from local timber, reed and thatch, the guest areas include indoor and outdoor dining areas, a lounge, a library and a swimming pool with an expansive viewing deck, all of which were designed to ensure the best views of the reed-filled waterways and sparkling lagoon in front of the camp.
There are nine contemporary tented suites set on suspended platforms, each with private decks which include a spacious sitting area and romantic swinging bench for contemplative moments on the water’s edge. The rugged yet luxurious design blends the remoteness of the breathtaking setting with complete comfort and style. The added flexibility of joining two tents with a covered walkway to create a single, larger suite makes the camp ideal for families and small groups.
