Day 1-2: Victoria Falls, Zambia

Touching down in Johannesburg, the family was met by a VIP agent and assisted through customs and immigration on to their connecting flight to Livingstone in Zambia, where they cleared customs and were transferred to their lodge for two delightful nights. Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma on the Zambezi River is built on a dramatic bend of the Zambezi River in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, 12km upstream from the world-famous Victoria Falls, providing unrivalled views from tree-house lodging connected by wooden walkways and exceptional exclusivity. The family took advantage of multiple game drives, walking safaris plus canoeing and a sundowner cruise on the Zambezi, as well as a tour of the Zambian Victoria Falls, a local village tour and a fishing outing.

Day 3-6: Manyeleti Private Game Reserve

After their morning activity and breakfast, the family was transferred to Livingstone Airport for their flight to Nelspruit in South Africa where they were transferred by road for four nights at Tintswalo Safari Lodge and their two-bedroom Presidential Suite.

Sitting in the heart of this wilderness region, Tintswalo guests are treated to every imaginable wildlife sighting, including the Big Five, a variety of birdlife and small game, and colossal herds of large game. The property’s guides are hand-picked from among the very best candidates, selected for their knowledge, their passion for wildlife and their personal ability to befriend guests and keep them entertained for the long hours spent together on game drives.

Michal, Ofer and their teenagers enjoyed two safari activities per day in a private game-viewing vehicle with a private tracker and guide, a private chef and butler, 15-minute back and shoulder massages, a private plungepool, an exclusive lounge and full kitchen, as well as a private boma for fireside dinners.

Day 7-8: Franschhoek

After breakfast and a morning game drive, the family was transferred to the nearby Hoedspruit airport for their direct flight to Cape Town.

Upon arrival, they were welcomed and transferred to their hotel for two nights at Leeu Estate in the village of Franschhoek. At the heart of the valley, with its Cape Dutch heritage and strong French influences, the village of Franschhoek attracts discerning guests with its award-winning restaurants, craft breweries, chocolatiers, art galleries, boutiques and speciality stores.

After taking the rest of the day to relax, day eight featured a private Franschhoek Winelands Cycle Tour, taking the family through the lavish vineyards of Franschhoek with ample opportunity for gastronomic indulgence and cultural appreciation.

Visiting four different estates, the group enjoyed food and wine pairings, boutique wine tastings and cheese & charcuterie platters, catching a glimpse of the town’s fascinating French connection with a visit to the Huguenot Monument.

Day 9-13: Cape Town

After breakfast and check out, the family was met by an expert local guide for a full-day, bespoke, private tour of the Cape Winelands, ending at their Cape Town hotel, the One&Only Cape Town Resort.

The day took them on a magical scenic journey through this beautiful mountainous region exploring the history, wine and architecture of the region, with a mouth-watering stop for a spectacular lunch.

After lunch, the family could choose to do another wine tasting or a walk through the town of Franschhoek or even a walk in an organic garden on the wonderful Babylonstoren estate, alternatively, they could select an artisan ‘bean to bar’ chocolate tasting! Day ten was given to a full-day drive-as-you-please tour, where the group could decide on their activities and their route for the day, while day 11 was dedicated to a full-day, privately guided Cape Town Eats Walking Tour. On days 12 and 13 the family could explore Cape Town at their own pace and at leisure.

Day 14: End of their African Journey

After breakfast, check out and a magnificent African vacation, the family was met and transferred to Cape Town International Airport for their flight to Johannesburg, then their final flights home.
