Inspired by the vintage-style camps of early European explorers in Africa, modern mobile tented safaris offer guests a sense of nostalgic adventure combined with the luxury and comfort of five-star hospitality. Canvas tents, mosquito nets, campaign furniture, hurricane lamps and Arabian rugs define the classic camp decor at most of these camps, all of which is able to be easily transported across the wilderness in order to follow migrating wildlife or the ever-changing seasons. The intimacy of mobile camps also provides much greater exclusivity than large safari lodges allow, giving guests added privacy and space.
