For those fortunate enough to encounter an African Elephant in the wild, the term ‘big tusker’ may resonate. However, many may be unfamiliar with this phrase. ‘Big tusker’ refers an elephant with tusks so immense that they touch the ground (weighing nearly 50 kg).
Regrettably, opportunities to witness such majestic creatures in their natural habitat are scarce, with only approximately 20 remaining worldwide. Among these, the Amboseli National Park stands as a sanctuary for these gentle giants, where large breeding herds grace the landscape, showcasing their magnificence as they move in procession. In this sanctuary, lush vegetation provides sustenance for some of the last remaining Tuskers in Africa.
