The V&A Waterfront has evolved into a multifaceted destination that seamlessly blend the past and present. Historic buildings have been restored, repurposed, and are complemented by modern structures. Quaint cobblestone streets intertwined with stylish boutiques, art galleries, and gourmet restaurants.

Battery Park

What’s new: Bring along your skates, bike, scooter, and picnic blanket to enjoy a wonderful family outing at the skate park which now also has a basketball court.

 

Where to eat:Seven Colours Eatery – the vision behind the eatery is to incorporate creativity, nostalgia, and diversity, and inspire a positive South African identity through food.

 

What to do: Rollercade, Canal Cruise,  Sunset Kayaking, SUP, The Little Optimist Sailing Academy

Silo District

There’s something for everyone; from cutting-edge art at the Zeitz MOCAA to the picturesque Silo Hotel with the recognisable pane windows to the vibrant Raddison RED Rooftop, not forgetting The Yard and Cabo Beach Club for eats.

 

What you may not know: Zeitz MOCAA offers free entry to South African citizens on Wednesdays.

Makers Landing

A space for budding food-preneurs to innovate, learn from food experts who share skills, nurture and coach young talent, helping grow their businesses in the food industry. Pop by for a taste explosion!

 

What’s new: Night Feast takes place on the last Friday of the month through Winter. The demo kitchen which also hosts birthday parties will reopen for the school holidays.

Clock Tower

What to do:Marine Wildlife Walk, Diamond Experience at the Cape Town Diamond Museum

 

What you may not know: One of the rhinos currently on display at the Clock Tower was sponsored by  Timeless Africa Safaris painted by students of Lalela in 2019.

Watershed District

What’s new: Coming soon is the brand new fine-dining-styled Time Out Market opening later in 2023.

 

What to do: PlayDate Superpark, Boat Cruise, Diving

 

What you may not know: There are about 150 tenants, 365 local brands, and beauty products. On any given day, entrepreneurs on-site will be showcasing how they make their products.

Granger Bay District

What’s new: Oranjezicht City Farm – amongst the fresh produce, treats, plants, and more, you will find the Homeboys who bring their unique street food to the market.
